The Giraffe English brand has already been well established in its native Taiwan for over 30 years, boasting over 700 schools. Giraffe English Shanghai opened in 2009 as the first Giraffe English in Mainland China. We teach students 3 to 12 years old, and given the age of our students our mission extends beyond teaching English. We at Giraffe believe that we must not only be effective ESL teachers, but create an environment where students can work and learn collaboratively. Giraffe is dedicated to instructing the whole person, which means we believe in character education as well as English education.

Age 3-6 is a critical period for language learning. In the classroom, our teachers use picture books, songs, chants and interactive games to motivate our students.
7-12 yrs
For young learners aged 7-12, we use multiple teaching methods to strengthen students’ critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills.
